Shelbie Andrews introduced herself to prospective jurors on Day 1 as a jury selection and trial consultant. Her work was associated with Sarah Boone's defense.

During a discussion of medical-record disclosure, defense counsel reported that hospital records had reached Andrews late. Counsel said she had learned, he thought a day or two earlier, that the records had not been disclosed to the State, and that the defense supplied a copy at that time.

When asking to show videos to the jury, defense counsel announced that Andrews would help with their presentation.
